New Rules (2010/2011)

The Kuala Lumpur Social Soccer league kick off last weekend. 10 mathces played over two divisions. With the pulling out of the expats teams, the league has been revamped back to the old two division format and some changes were being discussed and boldly implemented.

Among the changes are:

1) Play time to be 3 period of 30 minutes each.
2) A yellow card during a match will mean immediated suspension of the offender for 5 minutes. At this point, he can't be substituted with another player from his team (meaning his team will play with one player less)
3) Players collecting 2 yellow in a match will receive 2 match suspension.
4) Players getting a straight red will mean 4 match suspension
5) Those involve in a fight will be banned for a season.

Sekarang main 30+30+30

Tahun ni format dah tukar sikit, main 30 min dan rehat 5 min. Tiap-tiap tahun Warriors minta sampai padang 1 jam sebelum tu, sekurangnya setengah jam sebelum 'kick-off time', harap-harap tahun ni player akan berubah sikap......

Once again, welcome our new player Pralom Shairol Faizal Zamani Fazwadi WanFairos Fauzi Izuddin Tariq Ghani & our foreign friend Mr. Arnur. (pls. refer to movement of player chart display on left panel). Hope you guys will enjoy the times with Warriors Team, and give yourself and the warriors to suit & know each other.

Player like Zailani, Suhainie Dasilah & Huszaidi asking to be out due to injury and work commitment. other than Zai & Suhainie's injury, also with Dasilah want to be out with un-know reason, Huszaidi due to work commitment also asking to be out, but I still want to keep him in the list as Guess Player, I would like to say that he is the player who I would like to have, frankly speaking, he is not technically super, but what I like to see him work hard on the field, what i like most is he always reply my sms to let me know whether he is attend the match or not, it really make my job easier, just imaging going to the field without knowing who is going to turn up......that is what most of the player like to keep me guessing all this while.

This year I might not going to send out sms, you guys just check the warriors' blogspot or facebook to find out where the match and venue is going to play. and send me a sms or reply on the event on facebook before every Friday.

SSL 7-a-side CARNIVAL

Supported by ALICE SMITH SCHOOL 

TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. In general, all FIFA rules apply to this tournament. Exceptions are as follows:

a)     There will be no offside;

b)    Players receiving a yellow card must leave the field for the rest of the half (sin-binned). A player yellow-carded in the first half CAN play in the second half. The player leaving the field CANNOT be replaced with a substitute.

c)     Rolling subs – these can take place at any time and do NOT require the ball to be dead. Player leaving the field can do so from any part of the field and MUST remove his jersey. Player entering the field to do so from the centre line.

d)    Free kicks- NO wall is allowed.

2. All games will be played over two 6-minute halves, with a one-minute break for half time.

3. The format is four groups of 6 teams, playing each other once (five games per team). At the end of the group games the teams finishing 1^st and 2^nd will progress into the Cup Quarter Finals, teams finishing 3^rd and 4^th will go into the Shield Quarter Finals and teams finishing 5^th and 6^th into the Bowl Quarter Finals.

4. If two or more teams conclude the group phase with the same number of points, the following criteria, in order of precedence, shall be used to decide the group rankings:   (A) Score in the head-to-head, (B) Goal Difference, (C) Goals Scored, and finally (D) Sudden-death penalties (see below).

5. Knockout stages – in the event of a drawn game, there will be immediate sudden-death penalties. Only the players on the field of play at the end of regulation time can take the penalties.

6. Discipline – As we are using the sin-bin system to discourage foul play we will not be accumulating yellow cards. The referees will be instructed to only give out straight red cards in serious cases of violence of abusive behaviour. This will result in immediate expulsion from the tournament for the players concerned.

7. After each game a representative from each team must come to the organiser’s desk to report the score and names of any scorers.

Teams are requested to be punctual for their kick-offs. All team managers will be given a detailed schedule before the event.

Other info:

 . There is no limit on squad size, but only SSL registered players can participate.

 . Please bring two sets of jerseys, and a match ball.

 . Substitutes should keep their team jersey OFF during the game, only putting it on when they intend to enter the field of play.

. As there will be children present, we hope players can show consideration in their general behaviour and with their foul language!!

Finally, as with all tournaments, the referee’s decision is final.

Current league position

After good game at Bukit Jalil MSN turf, we got very high hope on the game of Shield Quarter final but due to the unavailable of lot of player, Warriors cann't do much due to only eleven player turn up. What to do!

Now we need to concentrate on the remaining 3 league games. Bottom 2 teams will be demoted to the Division 2 next season, so guys, please put in your effort to attend the remaining game.

Attach with current table base on our organiser website, although it was not complete due to the lousy webmaster this season.
